Phillip M. Sproul, age 46, went to the big golf course in heaven after a long courageous battle with a brain tumor.

Phil was born in Salt Lake City to Cleone and LaHoma Robinson Sproul. He married Karla Van Meter in May of 1986.

Phil worked over 20 years as an electrician making friends everywhere he went. Phil always knew what was truly important in life, family, friends and golf.

Phil is survived by his wife, children Easton and Kayla; parents Cleone and Jean, parents-in-law, Diane Stilinovich, Philip (Mary) Van Meter; sisters, Lenore Toronto, Karen (Don) Brisendine, Phyllis (Joe) LeMay; close family members and more friends than can be counted. Preceded in death by mother LaHoma.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday 11:00 a.m., December 14, 2002 at Murray 16th Ward 619 W. 5750 S. Viewing to be held Friday Dec. 13, 2002 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary 4760 S. State St. and Saturday at the church from 9:30 10:45 a.m. Interment Murray City Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cancer Wellness House 59 S. 1100 E. Salt Lake City, UT 84102. The family wishes to thank all of the support from friends, co-workers, hospice, nurses and doctors for all generosity and love.
