Truth or Consequences, New Mexico—Kathleen Clark was born September 30, 1957 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Karen Petersen Clark and Calvin Edward Clark. Kathy passed away at home with her family after an extended illness in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico on May 2, 2021.
Kathy was an avid tennis player as a child, playing local and national tournaments, and on the Highland High School tennis team. She graduated from the University of Utah with a Bachelor of Arts and a Masters in Business Administration. Working summers at Moon Lake Resort in the Uintah Mountains began a lifelong career in the hospitality industry. Kathy had a gift for making others feel welcome, comfortable and loved.
Kathy actively promote tourism for her community, and served as a City Commissioner. She studied foreign languages and traveled across the world with friends and family.
Kathy was preceded in death by her mother Karen Clark, and brother Edward Clark. She is survived by her daughter Collette Rogers (Shea Callahan), granddaughter Ostara Callahan, father Calvin Clark (Hilda), siblings Linda Clark Gillmor (Jamie), Cristine Sorensen (Greg), and step-brothers Sean and Kevin Ashe.
A celebration of life was held in New Mexico during the week of May 3 to May 7, 2021, and a private family memorial will be held in Utah at a later date.
