1957 - 1993
After a valiant fight that he fought without flinching, beloved son, brother, husband and father - Timothy Glen Palmer passed away at home of Multiple Myeloma - November 2, 1993 at age 36 years.
Tim was born January 13, 1957 in Provo, Utah to Harrison Glen (Bud) and Jessie Minkler Palmer. He attended Salt Lake City Schools and graduated from Highland High School in 1975. He worked at VW Intermountain, Dave Strongs and last at Salt Lake County Complex in Central Stores. Tim loved life, his family, all sports and was an honest, decent, hardworking man! He married Tina Perry, June 21, 1980 and they were the parents of two beautiful children, Andrea, age 6; John, age 5.
Survived by his loving wife and children, his parents, Bud and Jessie; sisters, Sharon Beesley (Rulon), Lancaster, California; Penny Evans (Cary); brother, Lewis, of Salt Lake City; other survivors include his uncles, Lewis Minkler, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada; Dr. La Monte Palmer, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada; aunts, Eunice Minkler, Edmonton; Jean Reimer, Betty Call, both of Victoria, BC, Canada; Hazel Neis, Red Deer, Alberta; Deanie Ursenbach (Gary, Calgary, Alberta; Donna Spackman (Roy), Cardston, Alberta; Mona Macriss (Bob), St. Joseph, Michigan; many cousins, nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his grandparents, Leslie L. and Florelle Love Palmer of Raymond, Alberta, Canada; Lewis and Mayta Neis Minkler of LaCombe, Alberta, Canada. He also loved and was loved by Tina's family.
The family wishes at this time to acknowledge and thank people - some anonymously - who gave generously of their love, prayers and support. The County workers who donated sick time to him - especially Tom Rees and Joyce Christensen. To D. Gary Christian and Dick McDonald who worked tirelessly in establishing funds for the bone marrow transplant that never happened; the Mountain View Third Ward Primary and Young Women who raised funds for him with service projects. He appreciated everything that was done for him and his family will always remember these acts of kindness.
Funeral services at Mountain View III Ward, 1889 South 1700 East on Saturday, November 6, 1993 at 1 p.m. Friends may call at Salt Lake Memorial Estates, 5850 South 900 East on Friday, November 5, from 6-8 p.m. and Saturday at the Church one hour prior to services. Interment: Murray City Cemetery.
